Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; Op de afdeling Bacteriologie en Virologie van het pas geopende Instituut voor Preventieve Geneeskunde in Leiden worden eieren besmet met een virus, waarna ze verder worden uitgebroed. Onder de microscoop is vervolgens de schade zichtbaar die het virus aan het weefsel aanbrengt. Verder worden metingen gedaan naar geluidsoverlast op de werkvloer en er worden gehoortesten met een audiometer gedaan. In de afdeling Arbeidsgeneeskunde wordt de polsslag, de bloeddruk, de hartspier en het stofwisselingsproces gemeten van een man die op een hometrainer fietst.
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.; Eggs are contaminated with a virus and then incubated at the Bacteriology and Virology department of the Institute for Preventive Medicine in Leiden. Afterwards the damage the virus does to the tissue can be seen under a microscope. There are also measurements taken for noise pollution at work and there are hearing tests with an audiometer. At the department for Occupational Medicine the pulse, blood pressure, heart muscle and metabolism of a man cycling on a hometrainer is measured. |
